Revel Recognized as a Three Time Winner of West Michigan’s 101 Best and Brightest Companies To Work For

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – For the 3rd consecutive year, the Best and Brightest competition recognized Muskegon-based marketing agency, Revel, as one of West Michigan’s 101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For.

The award is presented by the Michigan Business and Professional Association and is given out to companies who display excellence in their human resource, company culture, and employee enrichment practices. These businesses must exemplify “better business, richer lives, and stronger communities.”

Revel is a marketing agency that builds strong brands that grow manufacturing businesses by executing marketing strategies that move people to action.

The selection process to earn the Best and Brightest designation is both vigorous and in-depth. It begins with a 130-question application to glean details on everything from company finances, diversity, leadership goals, and more. The application is reviewed by a team of local business leaders to ensure the recipient is qualified to advance to the next round.

The companies who advance are then sent an employee survey to get employee feedback about pay, benefits, company culture, work-life balance, and personal advancement opportunities. The results are analyzed by a third-party research firm, and the nominees are ranked based on a combined score of the application and employee survey.

As this year’s process came to a close, Revel, for the third year in a row, was selected as one of West Michigan’s 101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For.

Revel aspires to live out their values in everything they do. These values are do great work, love what you do, do the right thing, speak your mind, and make it happen.

“I’m honored to be a part of a team that continually pursues excellence,” said Art Director and Production Manager, Danielle Webb. “I’ve worked here for 7 years and I enjoy that we’re never doing the same thing. We’re always learning, growing, and striving to deliver nothing but the best for our clients.”

Revel’s company culture is strengthened through clear direction, communication, and team building activities — from team Lunch N Learns to a pierogi making party to monthly tailgates — all aimed at jazzing up life around the office and increasing team morale.

“Being recognized time and time again as one of the Best and Brightest Companies to Work For says a lot about our team and how well we support and work with one another,” Webb explained. “We all stem from different backgrounds with various talents, and when we come together it always turns into something extraordinary.”

The award ceremony, hosted by the Michigan Business and Professional Association, took place Thursday, May 3 at the JW Marriott in Grand Rapids. Each company that participates receives a complimentary assessment report and the opportunity to take advantage of other benefits, such as workshops, case studies, and various resources throughout the year.

Companies such as Revel reflect the trend of increased emphasis on employee satisfaction seen in West Michigan and throughout the nation.

Winning the Best and Brightest Award three years in a row is a big deal to the company,” stated Revel Partner, Don Kalisz. “We’re proud of our people and our culture, so having our team continue to recognize Revel in this way shows us that we’ve built something great here.
