Even if your company is a great place to work, a website from the stone age won’t show it and will turn applicants away. An outdated website says we’re old and stuck in our old school ways, while a well-designed website says we’re modern, innovative professionals on the cutting edge of everything that’s cool. Which place would you rather work?

2. Have a Blatantly Obvious Career Tab

When you have a designated careers section on your website, it makes it easy to communicate when you are hiring and for what positions. It also allows you to share a thorough job description, requirements and responsibilities. Don’t make the mistake of assuming that advertising on popular job sites is enough. More often than not, people who do find your listing there will visit your website to learn more before deciding to apply. If you’re trying to attract a young workforce, guess what? We’re willing to bet they have their phones on them right now, no matter where they are or what they’re doing.
