What Do Jason Piasecki, Gerald Ford, and Colonel Sanders Have in Common?

They’re all Paul Harris Fellows, of course.

This past July, Revel’s own Jason Piasecki joined the ranks of former President Gerald Ford and chicken pioneer Colonel Sanders (among others) by being named a Paul Harris Fellow by the Muskegon Rotary Club.

This award recognizes his contributions to our community – or in the wording of the award itself: “in appreciation of tangible and significant assistance given for the furtherance of better understanding and friendly relations among peoples of the world.”

The Rotary Club, a worldwide organization with more than a million members, is dedicated to making a positive difference in communities through its local chapters. Through awards and recognition like the Paul Harris Fellowship, they seek to recognize members of the community (Rotary Club members or not) who are actively contributing to society through business, philanthropy, education, and human service.

Jason has always loved Muskegon and has been determined to give back in any way he could.

“I don’t just drink the Muskegon Kool-Aid,” Jason says often, “I serve it.”

This award is a reflection of his past dedication to the community and he hopes it will set an example for future Muskegon Rotarians. But Jason isn’t done yet. He still plans to be involved in anything and everything he can to make Muskegon a better community to live in, work in, and play in.

Upon receiving this fantastic award bearing the name of the Rotary Club’s founder, Jason was caught totally by surprise.

“I was surprised and honored all at once. I didn’t even know I was being considered. I’m so thankful to my family, my fellow Rotarians, and of course Muskegon for making this possible.”

It might not be Jason’s ultimate dream of making the Baseball Hall of Fame, but this honor is very much appreciated and the rest of the team here at Revel couldn’t be prouder.

“We couldn’t be prouder,” said The Revel Team.

Great job Jason!
